As part of EWA’s ongoing implementation of systems security improvements, we will initially implement a new password complexity policy on Cevo users for EWA staff, and in a few weeks to be announced to customers upon login.
Once the login process is complete, the portal will ask you to change your password instead of showing your dashboard. You will see the message at the top of the page:
EWA follows recommended cybersecurity protocols for password complexity. To protect your account from unauthorized use, please change your password to proceed.
Change your password.
You will need to confirm your current password, select the Current Password field and retype the password you used earlier to log in.
After you confirm your current password, select the Password field, then type your new password, a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 30 characters.
As you start typing your new password, the page will let you know the requirements fulfilled and what is missing.
A "simple” complex password
We suggest using the first letters of a sentence, lyric, poem, etc. and mixing numbers, punctuation, and capitalization. For example, the new password “Wc07stcTM!Wc0n7s7s7m” would represent the lyric “We come on the ship they call The Mayflower, We come on the ship that sailed the moon.” Have fun with your password!
Confirm your new password
Confirm your new password in the Confirm Password box; if the confirm password text is different from the Password box, the page will display this message:
Once your confirmation password matches your new one, the message will change to YES. And you are ready to save your changes.
Click on the save button.
Saving your new password
After you complete your password change, you could use a password manager application or Built-in password manager available on mobile phones and browsers.
Please avoid saving it in the following places:
- Sticky notes.
- Notebook or journal.
- Unencrypted files.
- Email or messaging apps.
Log in to the Cevo Dashboard.
After the password is successfully changed it will show the Dashboard page will show and a notification will show at the top.
