EWA Recommends APCO as National Coordinator for 4.9GHz

In an ex parte letter filed June 21, the Enterprise Wireless Alliance recommended that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) designate APCO International to be the natiowide frequency coordinator/band manager with responsibility for developing a 4.9 GHz regulatory framework and overseeing an orderly process for licensing with input and support from other FCC-certified Public Safety frequency advisory committees.
