Apr. 7, 2015 (Herndon, VA) –The Enterprise Wireless Alliance (EWA) this week welcomes Andrea Cumpston as its Communications Director. In this newly created role, she is responsible for creating, implementing and managing internal and external communications, including brand management and public relations. Andrea brings to this role some 15 years of experience in strategic communications and marketing.
"We are very pleased to have Andrea join EWA's management team,” said EWA President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Crosby. “Never more than today is there a need for the wireless industry and those directing national telecom policy to learn and appreciate the national economic benefits provided by business enterprises whose use of private wireless systems and private carrier networks contribute so significantly to America's prosperity. I am thrilled to have Andrea on board so that EWA's advocacy objectives may be effectively communicated and understood."
“The value of public relations is in helping new audiences understand what you offer and how they can take advantage of it,” said Cumpston. “EWA provides a number of valuable services to its members and others that have business industrial or public safety spectrum requirements, including the forthcoming frequency coordination tool Cevo®. I’m excited by the prospect of telling EWA’s story to a broader audience.”
Previous to this position, Andrea Cumpston provided strategic communications consulting to a variety of clients. Prior positions include Director of Communications & Marketing with the National Cooperative Business Association and Director of Communications with the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative.
