More Than One Hundred Channels

Let’s just say that it is a very large construction project—very large. An EWA radio sales and service member contacted us seeking advice and licensing approaches to support a major utility project in Maryland where multiple construction groups were engaged in hazardous tasks simultaneously. The member made it clear up front that more than 150 frequencies would be needed in order to accommodate all of the activities and thousands of workers. In response to this spectrum requirement, our member remarked that “EWA responded aggressively and in an expert way. The request was taken seriously, and they went to work.” Because of the extraordinary scope, EWA verified the spectrum requirements and prepared justification letters that accompanied formal license application submittal processes.  The licenses were subsequently granted, all frequencies are in use, and the project is well underway.
